Sam & Troy of the D.C. area won 2 out of 3 games in the preliminary rounds. Then they swept through the "Sweet 16 Playoffs" to take the Bicycle Playing Cards Miami Saturday Main Event Bid Whist Championship. The Tournament was held on August 23, 2003 at the Embassy Suites Hotel. This team also won the Saturday Morning Tournament held in Detroit in March, 2003. This fine team have placed in the money several times this year. In fact, as of August 25, 2003 they are ranked number 1 in the Bicycle Playing Cards National Rankings.
