Debra & Cathy of Los Angeles won 2 of 3 games in the Preliminary Rounds, they then swept through the "Sweet 16" Playoffs to take the 2005 North Carolina Friday Night Special Championship. Debra flew standby from L.A. and had to endure a 12 hour layover at the Phoenix airport. Debra says winning made it worth the trip.
The Friday Night Special Tournament was part of the Bicycle Playing Cards
 North Carolina Bid Whist Weekend  held October 14-15, 2005.
