Pat of North Carolina & Linwood of Atlanta won 2 of 3 games in the Preliminary Rounds, they then swept through the "Sweet 16" Playoffs to take the 2005 North Carolina Main Event Championship. Pat & Linwood were just introduced to each other the morning of the tournament. Their skills matched perfectly as the two won the big prize in their first tournament together.
The Main Event Tournament was part of the Bicycle Playing Cards
 North Carolina Bid Whist Weekend  held October 14-15, 2005.
