Nessie & Lenora
Win The 2006 National Championship

Nessie & Lenora of New York City won 2 of 3 games in the Preliminary Rounds, then they swept through the "Sweet 16 Playoffs" to win the 2006 Bicycle Playing Cards Bid Whist Across America Tour National Championship. The National Championship was held in Las Vegas on November 18, 2006.

The National Championship tournament consisted of only 1st place winners of the 40 tournaments held in the 2006 Bid Whist Across America Tour Events, which was held in ten cities throughout the USA. (See below for pictures of the winners of all 40 tournaments).

It was a great year for this Nessie & Lenora. They ended the 2006 season Nationally ranked tied for 2nd. They took 1st Place in more tournaments than any other team.

 OF THE YEAR

Troy Briscoe of the D.C. area earned the most points during the 2006 Bid Whist season to earn the 2006 Player Of The Year Award. This is the 2nd time Troy has won this prestigious award. He also won the 2003 Player Of The Year Award along with the National Championship that same year.
